Foreign Minister Timo Soini's statement on the Irish referendum caused a scandal

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland Timo Soini has caused a political scandal with his harsh statement on the results of the Irish referendum on abortion. The statement was published on the official website of Minister Soini on Sunday 27th May.
In his statement, Soini showed anything but diplomacy. Soini calumniated the decision of the Irish people to repeal the constitutional ban on abortion with the words: ”Source of dirty water. May look good but tastes bad.
Several Finnish politicians, even from the governing political coalition, have reacted strongly to Minister Soini’s vulgar words by confirming that this statement does not represent the official opinion of Finland, and it truly does not.
Even though Soini is Catholic, it does not justify misusing his leading political position to present this kind of statements reflecting his own ultraconservative religious attitudes, which this time go against the human rights of women and the clear voice of predominantly Catholic people of Ireland.
This sort of statements of Soini, in strict line with the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church, are not the first time in his political career.
Even in the current position of the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Soini has openly shown discriminating and contemptuous attitudes against the LGBTI minorities.
Soini has also taken part in a street protest of the anti-LGBTI organisation La Manif Pour Tous in Paris in 2013.
As we can clearly see, Minister Soini represents an ideal key player for the hostile Agenda Europe Network.
